Drought Proclamation
May 15, 2026
On April 30, 2026, the Drought Response Committee met and unanimously voted to place the entire state in a Severe Drought status. We need your help to conserve water now so we can continue providing reliable service to everyone. We are asking our customers to take the following steps to reduce water use:
- Limit outdoor watering (lawns, gardens, landscaping)
- Avoid washing vehicles at home
- Refrain from filling pools or ponds
- Fix leaks (dripping faucets, running toilets, etc.)
- Use less water indoors when possible
- Limit restaurants serving water in addition to other beverages
By working together, we can protect our water supply and support our entire community during this drought. If you have any questions, please call MarCo at 843-423-4680.
